In which language are the tours given?

Our tour guides speak both Dutch and English. Offering tours in Dutch is what makes us unique in Bangkok.

In which languages do you communicate?

Although our website is accessible in many languages, we reply to emails, WhatsApp messages or calls in English, Dutch or Thai. Feel free to send a message in any other language.

Are there tours throughout the whole year?

Yes, all our ABC tours operate daily throughout the year, including weekends and public holidays.

Do I need to be a very fit cyclist to join your tours?

All our ABC tours are designed at a relaxed pace and are suitable for anyone with basic cycling ability.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak travel periods, to secure your preferred tour and date. Last-minute bookings may be possible depending on availability.

Where do I find my booking number?

Accepted Answer

Your booking number is shown right after you complete your reservation and is included in your confirmation email. It follows the format ABC-YYMMDD-XX, for example ABC-250615-01. Please keep it handy when you contact us. Along with your booking number you'll also receive a QR code. Please show it to a staff member or your guide before the tour starts.

How can I cancel or change my booking?

Email us at info@abcbiketours.com with your booking number and we'll take care of it. Cancellations are free up to 72 hours before the tour (full refund). Between 24 and 72 hours before the tour you receive 50% back. Within 24 hours of the tour no refund is available.

What is included during the tours?

Almost everything is included: the bikes, your Dutch- and English-speaking tour guide, water, soft drinks, a snack, lunch (on day and special tours), and boat transfers. All you need to bring is your camera and a good sense of humour.

Do I have to bring drinking water?

No, we provide drinking water and soft drinks throughout the tour. We stop frequently for drinks and snacks. No alcohol is allowed during the tour.

Isn't it too hot to cycle?

While you cycle you create your own breeze, which makes it very manageable. We also ride through shaded sois and green neighbourhoods.

Do I need to bring sunblock?

Not necessarily; our guides carry SPF 30+ sunblock you can use during the tour.

Do your tour guides carry a first-aid kit?

Yes, all our guides carry a first-aid kit, including some basic medicines in case a guest needs them.

Do you also cycle during the rainy season?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we cycle every day. During the rainy season most rain falls in the evening or at night, and it can be raining at your hotel while it's dry at our place (or the other way around). After the rain it's nice and cool. If there's drizzle, we provide ponchos for everyone.

Can I take photos or video along the way?

Absolutely. Thai people generally enjoy being photographed, especially with their children. Just check your battery and memory before you leave the hotel; you'll usually take many more photos than expected.

Can I bring my bag during the tour?

We recommend not bringing anything, since everything is included during the tour. You can safely store your bag at our office.

Can we book a private tour?

Yes, we design custom tours on request. The price depends on the number of participants, duration and what you'd like included. It's a great way for a group of friends, family or business associates to get to know each other better; just ask us.

Do you have baby seats or child seats?

Yes, we have baby/child seats for children up to about 5 years old (depending on height and weight). For taller children we have rear seats with footrests.

Do you have children's bikes, and from what age can a child ride along?

Yes, we have 20" and 24" children's bikes. If we don't think a child can safely complete the tour on their own bike, we advise having the child ride in a child seat on one of the parent's bikes.

What if it rains on the day of my tour?

Accepted Answer

Bangkok is a tropical city; a short shower is part of the experience and we usually ride on. Only if conditions become genuinely unsafe will we reschedule your tour to another day at no cost.
