Behind every great ride: how we keep our Trek bikes ready
62 Trek bicycles, a fixed weekly service rhythm, and one mechanic who signs off on every single one before it leaves the workshop. Here is how our fleet stays safe and smooth in Bangkok's climate.

At ABC Bike Tours, the ride only feels effortless because the work behind it never stops. Every one of our 62 Trek bicycles (40 Trek Navigator city bikes and 22 Trek 3900 mountain bikes) is inspected, adjusted, and cared for on a strict routine long before a guest ever swings a leg over the saddle.
Bangkok's streets, heat, and humidity are tough on any machine, so we treat maintenance not as an afterthought, but as the foundation of every safe, smooth tour we run.
The right Trek for every rider
We run two dedicated Trek platforms so every guest gets a bike suited to how, and where, they want to ride.

- Trek Navigator 2.0. A relaxed, comfortable choice for exploring the city. Upright hybrid geometry with easy on-and-off access and smooth Shimano gears, perfect for cycling Bangkok's streets and back alleys at an easy pace.
- Trek 3900. A more adventurous option, especially popular with young teenagers and adults who want a bit more excitement on the trail.
Safety comes first: every guest is fitted with the right frame size for their height before departure, and we cycle at a relaxed pace throughout. The whole point of an ABC tour is to see and experience Bangkok together, not race through it.
Logged out, logged checked
Accountability starts before the wheels even leave our office. Each tour guide records the specific bike number assigned to every guest before setting off, and gives it one final look-over (brakes, tyres, gears) right up to the moment guests roll out.
This simple step means every Trek bicycle in our fleet has a traceable history: how often it is ridden, which routes it covers, and exactly when it is due for its next inspection. Nothing slips through the cracks.
A standing appointment with our mechanic
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, our specialised bike mechanic comes to the workshop to inspect and repair every bicycle that has been out on tour. Brakes, gears, tyre pressure, chains, and frames are all checked and corrected as needed, so each Trek is returned to tip-top condition before it is booked out again.

This is not occasional upkeep, it is a fixed part of how we operate, week in and week out.
Meet the person behind the fleet
Every bicycle is maintained and rechecked by our dedicated bike mechanic, Mr. Kiattipong Boonyatnaporn, before it is ever handed to a guest.
“I love working with a smile.”
